Years of working with water rollers gave Water Rollers Africa a clear purpose: to make this simple solution accessible to as many people as possible. That led us to develop the 70-litre EcoRoller.
Across Southern Africa, many communities collect their domestic water from communal taps, boreholes, rivers and other sources far from home. Women and girls shoulder much of the burden, carrying buckets of water by hand or on their heads, often several times a day.
The water roller concept was developed in South Africa around a simple idea: rolling the water instead of carrying it. By rolling it along the ground, one person can move a larger volume of water with far less effort.

We work with local organisations, nonprofits, community leaders and
farming co-ops to get EcoRollers where they are needed most.
Our projects reach rural villages, townships and peri-urban communities, with local partners helping identify households, coordinate distribution and support each project on the ground.
EcoRollers have been distributed across Limpopo, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, North West Province and Namibia.
Standard delivery is 2–3 weeks.
